SCHOOL ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP

The School Organizational Leadership Team (SOLT) are the three senior leaders of Urban Collegiate Academy Charter School responsible for instruction, operations, and scholar support services. 

Executive Director &
Chief Youth Development Officer

The proposed Executive Director (ED) is the head of school responsible academic, fiscal, legal and regulatory compliance, and operational oversight. The proposed ED will collaborate with the Board of Trustees to set the strategic vision for the school and execute the priorities of the Board. The proposed ED will also serve as the Chief Youth Development Officer responsible for: school climate and culture, scholar discipline, school counseling services, community and family engagement, youth development, MTSS for school attendance and behavior, and professional development for scholar support services team. 


Chief Academic Officer

The Chief Academic Officer (CAO) serves as the school’s instructional leader responsible for: curriculum development, implementation, evaluation, and revision; teaching practices and instructional strategies; scholar assessment and data-drive instruction; professional development for instructional leadership and faculty; academic support services for struggling scholars; special education services; and English language learner services. 


Chief Operations Officer

The Chief Operations Officer is responsible for the school’s facilities, human resources, administrative operations for scholar enrollment and attendance, school office operations including scholar records, procurement, scholar nutrition services, transportation, and school safety. 

SCHOOL INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP

UCA Middle School Academic Director

The UCA Middle School Director will serve as the instructional leader for faculty and staff serving scholars in grades 6-8. The MS Director will be responsible for curriculum implementation, teaching practices, and professional development facilitation. The MS Director will regularly observe teaching staff in their classrooms offering timely and actionable feedback to improve teaching and learning. The MS Director will analyze data to make instructional shifts and decision within the school’s multi-tiered system of supports framework. The UCA Middle School Director will be supported by an Associate Academic Director responsible for instructional leadership for academic intervention, special education, and English as a New Language services. 

UCA High School Academic Director

The UCA High School Director will serve as the instructional leader for faculty and staff serving scholars in grades 9-11. The HS Director will be responsible for curriculum implementation, teaching practices, and professional development facilitation. The HS Director will regularly observe teaching staff in their classrooms offering timely and actionable feedback to improve teaching and learning. The HS Director will analyze data to make instructional shifts and decision within the school’s multi-tiered system of supports framework. The UCA High School Director will be supported by an Associate Academic Director responsible for instructional leadership for academic intervention, special education, and English as a New Language services.
